Been meaning to post this for a little while but Brett Ramsey is no longer the DOF for Football. In his place is Jeff Breaux who had been an assistant coach at West Brook. I haven't seen where Coach Ramsey is going or if he's taking another position within the AD.

Looking over the football roster and the details for each player, I took note of which players were on the 2-deep coming out of spring camp. I pieced together the 2-deep depth chart heading into summer: Offense X Jayce Nelson, ?? I'm sitting here watching DBU dust the Longhorns in Dallas and was wondering, Does LU baseball even matter anymore? I remember the day when LU was considered by many to be a power in the state. Competitive with anybody....Rice, UT, TAMU, etc. Now, is there a college left in the state that LU can even compete with? How long will the current powers that be (in and out of the administration) allow the program to wallow in the pits they are in? Does anybody even care anymore? The entire program seems old, tired, listless and forlorn. Next-to-last in the vaunted SLC? Answers???

As of now Lamar is still slated to play Houston in 2016. Previously it had been reported that Lamar would play Wyoming in 2017 but that appears to be off now. Bosha was invited to join the freshman honor society at Lamar

To shamelessly steal a line from one of the rental car companies, "We're #2. We try harder!" Lamar finished 2nd overall in the 2014-15 SLC Commissioner's cup. To round out #2, the Cards finished second in men's sports and 2nd in women's sports. Stephen F. Austin won the cup with 177.5 overall points vs Lamar's 157 points. In men's sports, # 2 Lamar had 75 points and was edged out by Sam Houston State which ended up with 78.5 points. In women's sports, Stephen F. Austin finished with 105.5 points vs #2 Lamar's 82 points. To me #2 is pretty good considering the disappointing showing in baseball, volleyball, women's tennis, and soccer this year. Looking forwar…
