Hey guys, as you can see I don't post much. I am a lurker. :P I drove over to Bmt from Baytown today to see practice - among other things. However, not a soul was on the Provost Umphrey field, coming in or out of the field house, or even the Montagne Center. I saw a schedule posted earlier that showed open practice times of 7 pm at the stadium. Am I missing something? Just let me know as I may try to get over next week if they are still having open practices. Thanks! Scott

According to Chris Dabe, Tyrell Collins of Ozen will walk-on at Lamar as a defensive end. Here's his scout profile: http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=5377287

I spoke to Fox 4's Nick Canizales today it looks like offensive lineman Ian Kelso injured his knee today at the scrimmage and will be evaluated by a specialist on Monday but it doesn't look good. Signs point to him possibly missing the season. He also said defensive lineman Adren Dorsey didn't participate in todays scrimmage due to a shoulder stinger. Coach Woodard said if it had been a regular season game Dorsey would've played.

who do they have in line for center? Gillam is a Junior so he only has 2 more seasons, right? Heard there were some freshman working out with team who were supposedly very strong and powerful. Treadway is on Roster as OL what is he going to play? Are there any other OL schloarship or non scholarship not on roster yet? O line seems a little weak still...

Overall I think it went well. Saw some good things on both sides of the ball. Our LB's cover well, and have a good pash rushing game. We have some good WR, they just need to run hard from the snap of the ball. I strongly think we have 3 of the best RB in the southland conference. I think that our O-Line is awful. They are soft, they are to scared to get beat that they just miss there blocks. I would rather have a rough OL that messes up on technique sometimes but will come off and hit people in the mouth.

I knew he left UT but hadn't heard where he ended up. I looked it up tonight and found out he went to Incarnate Word. This surprised me because if my memory is correct he graduated from Texas and could've went to any FBS school that carried his major and played immediately. I wonder if Lamar had any interest or contact with DJ when he was available?

I think we need to come up with a few shirt designs for the site. I'd like the wear them around campus and to games.
